About Us

In 2018, EmpowHERment was founded as a response to a profound personal loss suffered by its founder and Chief Empowerment Officer, Ambee Stephens, following the passing of her father. Beginning as a virtual platform, EmpowHERment evolved into a nurturing space for women to connect, inspire one another, and mutually uplift each other. The transition from the virtual realm led to EmpowHERment hosting gatherings at local restaurants and coffee shops, where meaningful discussions on various topics were conducted with the aim of effecting real-life change. Distinguished experts from diverse fields were invited to educate, empower, and inspire the participants.

These monthly meetings served as the cornerstone for EmpowHERment to expand its support by introducing comprehensive wraparound services. In 2020, Ambee Stephens proudly introduced the EmpowHERment Community Center in Clearwater, Florida. This center stands as a singular safe haven provided by EmpowHERment, serving as a powerful catalyst for fostering positive change, not only within our community but also in the broader sphere. Since our inception, our Women Empowerment Non-Profit Organization has remained unwavering in its dedication to the principles of support, empowerment, and progress.

Today, our focus has evolved, and we continue to make a meaningful impact by helping women thrive through a variety of avenues, including workshops, events, and entrepreneurship programs. Our ultimate hope is for every woman who interacts with our organization to find a program that resonates with her unique aspirations and needs. We aspire to sit at the table with women and hear them say, "This is great, but it's not for me," only for us to respond, "Yes, it is, and here's why." We are committed to tailoring our programs to ensure that there is a program for each woman who walks into our space.
